Hej hej!

I'm gonna be by my computer tomorrow (Friday) between 3 and 5PM Sweden time if anyone wants to chat. Would be a good distraction from my homework. ^^ Skype address is hlhwilli.

Rock on.

By the way, I've read some presentations and noticed that there's a lot of photographers.

Does anyone have a deviantart account and also whats your deviant art-ID?

Please leave a comment, it would be great!

Okay, here we go!

So, I've had some trouble signing up but now I'm here!
My name is Calle Hemström and like many others in this class
I'm from the small village Viken. On my spare time I hang out with
my friends, my girlfriend Sarah who's also in this class and when
I'm not doing that I kind of live in the world of music. It has always been
a very big part of me and I play mostly the Guitar and Piano but I am
very interested in other instruments as well. Right now I'm playing
in a cover-band with some other guys at Campeon. We were some
guys playing instruments individually and finally we were like "come on,
there's no use in sitting like some loners in our rooms playing solo, let's
play together instead."

I'm also very interested in photography! I must say, you guys across the pond
have the most awesome prices on photo equipment ever! It's like 30% of the
price here in Sweden. So when i get to NYC next week (which I'm kinda
psyched about) theres going to be a lot of photo shopping I tell you.

Me and my friends just had our first talk with some of the girls (Holly
and Britta) and after some major problems with their lousy mics (sorry
you guys) we finally got to have a small chat with them which was really
great! Too bad it was like 50 mins of technical talk about where the sound
settings in skype were located and about like 10 mins of us actually talking!

To "knyta ihop säcken" as we say a lot here at Campeon (look it up), here's
two pictures of me:

In action with my previous band!

One of the first days at Campeon, like 2 years
ago (I'm the guy at the far right)

And then there were three…

We are the three girls that are always late for school, always do our homework in the last second and always are the last ones to post our presentations. This time is not an exception.
First we have Frida Andersson, she´s 18 years old and lives in the central part of Helsingborg. When she graduates she would like to move to USA and search for money, success and true love.
Second up we have the adorable little miss Disa Schulz. She´s only 17 (baby baby baby oooh)! Disa is the president of Campeon and in the future she wants to rule the world.
The last one is the one and only; Thea Arvidsson! Age: 18. Enjoy: IKEA, ABBA, Kalles Kaviar, köttbullar, falukorv, dalahästar and midsommarstänger. Her biggest dream is to marry Harry Potter and move to Hogwarts.

Hello everybody! Just wanna remind you about my and Adams Skype adress, which is: "Stigborn".

Two guys + one cam = Yummyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!

This is Naimas adress: "povelbira"

And this is Millies boyfriends adress (but Millie will answer): "felix ingheden"

Millie and Naima will answer separately.

Hi, my name is Julia and I live in Helsingborg. I am aware of the fact that I’m late with my presentation but I was really busy (sleeping?) but hey I’m writing now and that’s the most important part right?

I’m turning 18 in less then 3 weeks which is a HUGE deal for me – finally I’m not (theoretically) a kid anymore! I’ve always lived in the central part of Helsingborg, though in different apartments and houses, and I could never imagined living outside of the city. I’m definitive a city girl and Helsingborg is way too small for me so I can’t wait until I can move to a bigger and more exiting town. Luckily I have the opportunity to sometimes escape from Helsingboring (I’m really selling you the city aren’t I?) and travel to the south of Spain where my dad lives. And no my dad is not Spanish, he just prefers living there but he of course still spends time in Sweden because he has his company here and me. I’m actually going to Spain this Friday during our “autumn vacation” to get some sun and see my dad. I guess you guys think that I’m fluent in Spanish but unfortunately I’m not. I suck.

In Sweden I mostly live with my mum (except for when my dad is home) and my stepfather. I have one “half brother” on my mum’s side but he recently graduated from a hotel school in Switzerland and moved to Madrid. I also have two step siblings but they live in New York and New castle – soooo not jealous. I guess that’s all I have to say about my family. Oh I have a dog but she lives in Spain so I rarely see her.

Now a bit more about me. My biggest passion in life is music. I love music. I like almost all type of music but my favourite genre is rock. My best friend is my ipod (wow I’m such a nerd) and I carry it with me 24/7. Another huge passion in my life is dancing. Now I’m not like a professional dancer or anything, I just love to dance and I take classes during my free time. Seeing different places and travelling is something I love to do, especially going America. I’ve been there four times visiting Plattsburg and Boston, Florida and New York two times. Next time I want to go to the west coast and see California. Like most people I watch a lot of tv, for example Simpsons, family guy, Greys anatomy, true blood and other cheesy series. Basically if it’s on tv I like it. Facebook, fmylife, failblog and other blogs are also things I spend my time on.

During the weekends I usually go to parties, dinner parties or just watching bad horror flicks with friends. If it’s a really good Friday I’ll be screaming my ass of and jumping around like an idiot at a concert. Two weeks ago I saw Biffy Clyro, a pop/rock Scottish band, and hopefully I will convince someone to go and see Deftones with my In a few weeks but unfortunately not many of my friends share my taste in music.

Okay, so now you now a bunch of crap about me (Yaaay). Looking forward to talking to you more!

Peace out dudes!

Btw feel free to add me on facebook, Julia Ohlsson. Just look for the hot babe.

Hello again!

It's me, Emma.

I would just like to write a little bit, not really sure about what, but now when I think about it, I think I am going to write a little bit about one of my favourite places, London.

I am really not a big city girl, but there is something about London that makes my heart beat faster. Have you ever been to London? If you haven't and have the chance you should definately take it. I don't know what it is, but London is the place for me, I like it so much I am accually thinking about becoming an Au Pair there after I graduate, and the fact that my favourite cousin lives there with her family, doesn't make the situation worse.

In a few weeks I will once agian visit the city of my dreams. Longing so much...
Then I also thought that perhaps we could start some sort of discussion or a topic to talk about here at the blog, I am not sure about what, but if I you think this might be fun and if you have any suggestion of topic, you are more than welcome to brainstorm, that includes everbody obviously, ni svenskar också!!
(You can obviously also say that this idea is really bad!!)
Vi hörs snart igen!

Solig Kalifornia!

Många personer surfar i Malibu.

Ingen berömd person bor i Hollywood.

"Flying Saucers Caffeine and Art"

Hi! I just wanted to tell you that our class just went back home from the capital of Sweden, Stockholm. We were in Stockholm for 3 days and I had a great time there ( alot of shopping!) and if Katarina reads this I have to write that the visit at Sveriges riksdag and Sveriges television was awesome! At least it was interesting to see how it all work. I didn't take so much pictures but my friends did so just be patient and you will se some pictures from the trip. It takes about 5 hours to get to Stockholm from Helsingborg and we went by train. Btw your videos are great! Keep it up, maybe we can fix something similiar :)

Well I took this picture, on the greatest icecream ever. It made me so happy. Haha if you are in Stockholm someday you have to try it!

I have made the list myself and of course there aint all Swedish most poular songs, that would be impossible and yes, of course there are great Swedish artist that sing in engilsh. But i thougt that i would be fun with some Swedish songs, in that way you guys can check if you understand what the are singing :).

Let's get it started

Hello you! First of all I liked to say that the Swedish you American guys have is great! I can't even write that good in spanish and I've read it for like 5 years or so. You should be very proud of yourselves! Well right now I should probably be calculating x and y ( I'm really, really bad at math) or be packing (our class is going to Stockholm tomorrow!) but math and packing isn't exactly my cup of tea.
I rather tell you guys something about myself. My name is Gabriella Kubista. Kubista isn't a thypical Swedish surname, and that's because my mother and father are from Slovakia and the Czech republic, but I'm born and raised in Sweden. I live in Helsingborg with my mother, father and a little brother. Wich isn't that little after all. Hate that guys grow so much during puberty.

Well, I have four jobs because I like money, haha, that was a true joke (?).
No but I want to pay my driving license by myself and it's not cheap ( it would be if I was a better driver). I really wish I could have the license right NOW. The worst job I have is the one at the Max hamburgerrestaurant. It's like a Swedish Mcdonalds, only better ;) If you guys come over here sometime I will introduce it to you. I love the food, but it's a crappy job.

Because my passion in life is eating junkfood I have to train alot, which I do like 8 hours a week. I have skated figureskating since the age of 3 and I still love it. It's not a very big sport in Sweden but I bet it is in the USA. I'm so sad for not going to the states! I thought I would met the love of my life there, a famous figureskater called Evan Lysacek ;) ( that was a joke as well). Heard of him?

Well I could go on for hours about myself, and I don't think you would appreciate that... Oh I just have to mention that I'm a TV-nerd! I love all your american tv-shows! So you think you can dance, desperate housewifes, greys anatomy, how I met your mother, CSI and my favorite: one tree hill! So if some of you like TV as much as I do, don't hesitate! Contact me on msn : and we can discuss that Brooke should be with Lucas ;)
Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi guys!

Yesterday I got my second tattoo done.
Well, it's not quite finished yet so that's why i'm not posting a picture here right now.
I really love it, it's an "artpiece" by my tattooist made for me. It probably sounds really weird but it's basically a cat.
He went bananas with it so it looks really cool and I love having it on my hip/thigh.
My tattooist is called Anestis and he really is a true artist.
It took him about 5 hours to do all the shading and coloring and it's still not done yet!

Moving on to another topic..
Could someone please explain the sorority/fraternity thing to me?
How do you choose or get chosen to it and what's it like being part of one?

Hope you all have a good day today and feel free to add me on Facebook if you'd like!

Friday, October 8, 2010

Hi you guys! My name is Naima and I'm turning 18 in 4 days :D I've been looking forward to this exchange since I started studing on Campeon. It's really interesting to read about you guys and I'm really excited that you'll come to Sweden.
So a little about myself...I guess I'm not really up to that much (sad?). Most of the time on weekdays is set aside for studying. On weekends I sometimes party, and now, since I'm turning 18 I'm probably going to be partying every weekend. If you don't know about it allready, in Sweden it's legal to drink alcohol when you're 18.
Two hours every saturday I work at an old peoples home (like the one Grandpa in Simpsons live at :D) as an "entertainer". We drink coffee with them, talk about their lives and do activities like quiz, playing games, singing and nailpainting. It's really rewarding and you learn a lot from it (even though it's not really much of an income :P )
I live with my dad, my older brother and my cat in a big house at Råå, an old little fishing village south of Helsingborg. My mom lives in Småland, about two hours from Helsingborg. I like cooking, especially desserts and I was actually going to make a cookbook with recipes for desserts that I came up with myself as my project. But I changed my mind, and now I'm going to do a book about homeless people in Helsingborg instead. The last year in school everyone in Sweden does a project that we get grades in, and it can basicly be about anything. I've been to the US three times, one of them on Hawaii. USA is great!
I'm involved in an organization that works against rasism in Helsingborg, and that is a lot of fun. I'm also a member of the partycommittee at Campeon, so if everyone's down with the proposal Mariette had, I suggest we have a big f*cking party when you guys come here! :)

Love, Naima Clevenhag

I couldn't get the pictures right, so I'll just put them here. The first one is a dessert that I made :P and
the second one is from the latest party we had at Campeon. Also, check out our classphoto at facebook:
you guys have facebook right? Cuz we all spend 60% of our lives at Facebook...

Thursday, October 7, 2010

Hi everybody!

My name is Agnes Karlefors, I'm 17 years old (18 in two months!) and I live in Helsingborg with my mom. My dad, his new wife, my babybrother and little dog lives a bit outside of Helsingborg.

I'm on my third and last year at Campeon and even though I love my school and my class, I can not wait to graduate, which we do next summer, in June. When we are not laughing and joking in school, and instead are focusing on the topics, I think that communication, religion and psychology is the most fun. After graduation I want to continue to read some sort of communication at the university.

I love to sing, play piano and listening to almost all sorts of music. But especially the music that John Mayer, Gavin Degraw, The All-American Rejects and Fall out Boy, Foo Fighters does. It changes depending on what mood I'm in ;) I like to hang out with my friends, exercising at the gym and swim (which I have done for 16 years). I love to travel, the French Riviera and London is my favorite holiday destination. I visit both places once a year, at least, haha. I also like to partying, photographing, read books = just enjoying life. I am a caring, outgoing and honest person.

I'm a real TV geek (haha), so I have to agree with Daniel and say "Thank God for America and it's awesome TV shows" my favorites are Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, South Park, How I Met Your Mother and Friends.
I don't think there is so much more to say about me. I look forward to talking more with you guys and if you have any questions, which I hope you do, just ask or add me on facebook. (is there really anyone who doesn't have facebook in this modern world? haha.

Talk to you later!

"Easy A" är okej.

I'll do some of this in English too.
Two weekends ago I went to visit a friend from home that goes to Grand Valley State University and went to Art Prize in Grand Rapids. Grand Rapids is about two and a half hours from Ann Arbor.
Art Prize is this big art contest, and the artwork is hung all around the city, in bars, schools, museums, in the street, anywhere really. It's really cool. The winner get $250,000, which is a lot of money, and I should probably try to enter the competition, because I could use the money to pay back my student loans! One of my professors had art in it, and there was one Swedish artist.
This weekend I'm going to Detroit for a concert, after a stressful week in school, it'll be really nice to see some live music, I think live music is good for the soul.

So do you guys like art? Is there anything similar to Art Prize in Sweden?
Feel free to add me on facebook :)

I think, when you come to Sweden we should (of course) have fun and make it memorable. I think that it would be so much fun if we planned a party. So we can dance, eat nice dinner, (get drunk?) together and just have fun! What do you guys think? Americans, is that something you think would be fun and my dear classmates, what do you say?

Swedish or English?

Would you Americans like us Swedes to write in Swedish Instead? It would help you with some grammatical stuff and it would really ease things up for us not so good at the English language. Like me for instans.

Sport is not only for the guys!

Hi, it's me again. The girl who likes to bake but not to eat (what I've baked)! And yes, what Nathalie says is definately true, she IS the foodie (sorry Natty). I would also like to tell you guys that it is not only the boys that are interested in sports, I am too. I love to excersise (as I said) and I am extremly interested in all other sports as well. Right now it is football or soccer as you say, because the team from our city Helsingborgs IF (HIF) have got the opportunity to win the leauge, even though it might be tough now, since they lost the last game. But we are crossing our fingers and praying for luck!! ;)
I can also tell you all that I have touched the Stanley Cup trofy, when it was visiting Helsingborg a few years ago, it was amazing, even though I think it is very ugly!! ...

The picture of me is not the best in the world but it describes what I love the most (exept the cooking part) The beautiful winter weather, skiing and exercising. LOOVE it!

But life is not always about the fun parts, now for exemple I am going to study before a major test in law that we are going to have tomorrow morning, so I wish you all a good day and night.

Emma Johansson

Hello boys and girls! The name of this young fellow at 17 years old is Daniel and I live in the same small village as some of the other swedes, such as Embla and Adam. I’m crazy about sports and I’ve played lots and lots of soccer throughout my life untill approximately two years ago. I then decided to begin my career of floorball, which is a very(VERY) rare sport, atleast in most parts of the world, and I bet you guys haven’t even heard about it. The only countries that the sport is somewhat big in is Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic and Switzerland! For those interested, if there is anyone, I’ll tell you a bit more about it and maybe find a something from Youtube that you can watch to understand what it is. As you might tell I’m really interested to sports and I also watch NHL hockey from time to time. I’ve even been to Madison Square Garden to watch Rangers play and I even bought a Henrik Lundqvist t-shirt!

Not a day passes by without me wearing my headphones, listening to music for atleast a couple of hours. Music is such a big part of my life, but unfortunately I don’t create any music of my own. I listen to tons of different types of music e.g. Familjen which I saw Collin listens to. What can I say, you have great taste in music! I listen to many other electronic bands but also a lot of rock etc.

And thank god for America and it’s awesome tv-shows. I’m constantly watching How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Rules of Engagement and Chuck. I just can’t get enough!

Well that’s about it, feel free to ask questions about anything!

Tjenixens, greetings from Adam Stigborn

Well I guess it´s hard to be last in line to write your presentation but if we start a short boring presentation of the so exciting me. I live in a minor village and I guess with your standards you could call it insignificant because of its 5000 inhabitants. All my life has always been about sports and mainly hockey and football – yes I´m talking about soccer - until about one year ago when I sadly realized that I wouldn´t make it to the NHL. So nowadays you could say that I spend a lot of time in school and doing my homework but I my classmates would kind of say the difference :/ So what do I do with my life? I got a lovely girlfriend so most of my time (and money) is based on her. Of course school is a big part of my schedule but a much smaller part then my pre-writers. So what it all comes down to is chilling, a lot of chillin’ and trying to find a loophole in the system of life like trying to earn some big money but with a lot less effort. Well I haven´t find it yet but shame if you quit. I work some times and a lot during the summers but during the winters I have a weekend job at a fish-store. Fabulous and glamorous you might think but that’s not all… I clean the fish store. So I am so low you can get in the food chain. I love vacations but then I want a pair of skies or a big as sailing boat that you really can push to the limit. I´m trying to take my driving license, both car and motorcycle. A boy dream is to drive a ducati ss, but with parents how hates the idea of a motorcycle it seems like I will have to wait a while but it´s always fun to have a goal in life. Mine is a motorcycle, funny….

Now I while go back to my Swedish life which includes loving everybody and paying 50% tax J (L)

Your sincerely(!?) Adam Stigborn

I don’t know how often I have to write in this blog but I guess that it's better to be safe than sorry.

It would be really funny to discuss with you yanks your thoughts of Sweden, and only to clarify what Mariette said; no one is named Inga anymore and most girls don’t have giant boobs (only the really, really fat ones) and besides that, blonde hair color is so 2001. Nowadays everyone is mixing their colors into a tint you couldn’t even imagine. Its one part pink, two parts purple and the rest is just a mystery, and the result, well, I don’t think that specific color even got a name.

So please, write me back and criticize, ask and talk about the Swedish society. I’ve got lots of opinions about America too, so don’t hold back your mind. For example why you’ve got a soda called root beer, when there is no trace of beer what so ever?

Peace// Kristian

Hej igen!
Jag ska börja med en kort film..... HAHAHA

hejsan allihopa everybody!

I'm Emma Arenbo, I'm 17 years old and I live in a suburb to Helsingborg called Lerberget with my parents, my brothers and my weirdo-dog Polly .

I'm in the same Senior class at Campeon Frigymnasium as all the other swedes as you probably will guess! My favorite classes are communication, English, psychology and law studies and I'm thinking about studying psychology, law or medicine at uni later on.

I enjoy listening to music, like Bon Iver, MGMT, U2, Air and random electro music - mostly like this, hanging out with my friends and my boyfriend, partying, exercising at the local gym - especially core-training and yoga, photographing, MUN (Model United Nations, yes I'm a bit geeky sometimes but I find it very interesting), baking and cooking, travelling and outdoor-life like hiking, skiing in the Alps, canoeing and scouting with my little lovely troop of small and annoying eight year old cubs and brownies.

I think that I'm an outgoing, curious and positive person that loves life but sucks at writing interesting introductions about myself, haha! So, if you have any questions, or comments or whatever, just tell me, and if you want, you can always add me on Facebook!

this is me (surprise surprise!)

this is me (to the left) and two of my best friends when we were in Berlin

and, as a proper finishing, some swedish humour that might be useful (eeerh, or not!)

(this is from a very popular humour-show in Sweden called HippHipp)
